Help Weird text message problem

My boss has the Blackberry Torch for Verizon. Whenever she sends me a text the first few letters show find then it goes into Chinese or something symbols. She called Verizon and they have no clue. Haven't called metropcs but I know they won't have the answer. Anyone know what's up with this?

This happens quite often. What happens is that when an SMS is too long, it gets converted to MMS. Then in the transmitting process through Metro's network, it gets corrupted. Nothing with the phone, not Verizon's problem. Its Metro's crappy service.
