Help weird touch screen issue

Hello,

I tried to search my problem in the forum, but I didnt get any result relevant. So please forgive me if it is reposted.

The problem is, sometimes when I touch the screen, the screen immediately will turn off. Then after 2 seconds it will turn back on. When I use my finger to touch the screen again, it turns back off again. (Repeat that infinite times)
In order to end this loop, I usually just try to press the 4 buttons (I have i717) at the bottom and sometimes it works... or touch a different spot on the screen.... If I get annoyed I just restart the phone... This issue is getting annoying so Im wondering if this can be solved or not?

Obviously, your screen should not be doing that. If your galaxy note is less than 30 days old, I believe you can get a replacement from your provider or if it is less than one-year-old, it is still covered by warranty and if you purchased from AT&T, they have various warranty repair centers around the US.

I have something similar occours although not as bad. I have narrowed it down to the combination of the proximity sensor, and NoLED settings.
All is well until I goto pick it up and the screen goes off and NoLED kicks in which then requires a touch of the back button followed by a swipe of the lock screen to get back to where I was. Proper ballache but If I remeber and pick the phone up from the USB end, then it's fine
Hope that helps
