Help Weird Wi-Fi Issue

Good day to all,

This is my first post on here.

I've had an SG3 for that last 2 weeks and i have this weird Wi-Fi issue which i have not read about in any of these forums and seems to be the only one with such an issue.

Basically, when i first connect to my home Wi-Fi, no problems there. Its only when i leave the house for a long period of time like going to work, then come back home and my phone does try to scan for my Wi-Fi connection but reads out of range even though its scanning for it but just does not detect it. I have to switch off the Wi-Fi on the phone and switch it back on and in less than 2 seconds the Wi-Fi is connected no problem. This also happens in the morning when i unlock the phone, it scans but says my Wi-Fi is out of range. Once again i switch Wi-Fi off and on again and 2 seconds later its back on. I have my Wi-Fi set to Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep-Never. Occasionally, but just occasionally, it does manage to connect to my Wi-Fi when i don't use the phone for an hour or so but when left for a long period of time like going to work or overnight it just fails to detect Wi-Fi. This does not only happen on my home Wi-Fi but also on other Wi-Fi's. Each time to connect i have to switch off Wi-fi from the fone and switch it back on.

Has anyone encountered or experience this weird issue? I know its no big deal and other SG3 owners are experiencing far worse Wi-Fi issues than me but this thing is really bugging me :(

Help anyone? Or at least the source of the problem to put my mind at rest.....is it hardware.....software issue?

Thanks to any replies

First and foremost.. Welcome.

I did a bit of seaching and came up with this one. May or may not help, but it's worth the try.

I obviously don't have a GS3 but I've experienced the same problem on my 3vo, the way I fixed mine was picking up a 3rd party wifi scanner "wifi manager" and all has been good since

Thanks for the replies and feedback.

Just browsed Google Play for a 3rd party WiFi scanner and there are loads of them and not sure which one will be most suitable or has the function that will solve my issue. I'm new to the android world and don't have much experience regarding android apps.

Can anyone guide me on which WiFi app might solve my issue as im not confident enough to decide on an app by myself and risk making my WiFi issue degenerate.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Give "wifi manager" a go and see if it helps you out
