Weird Wi-Fi thing

Just recently purchased this phone, and noticed that when the phone is plugged in to charge, the Wi-Fi turns on. I turn it off when not in use. Is there some kind of setting to stop it?

Also, something I noticed, which I didn't see in the manual for the camera. ....the center button between the volume keys acts as a shutter button. Not sure if it was known, just sharing.

Go to settings, WiFi, advanced and check that "scanning always available" is off.

Disabling connection optimizer also prevents wifi from self-activating
