Help Weired Calender problem

Just bought LG optimus V.
Whenever I go to the calender and try to put in a new event, it says "you have no calenders" and does not allow me to put in a new appointment. How do I put in any new appointment?

Have you synced your calendar to your Google calendar? If so, you should be able to long press and have an event form pop up.

I don't think you can have a calendar on your phone without having a google calendar.
