Are you sure the cwm recovery stuck?

OK, I have a Reverb OOTB that replaced a Moto Triumph. It is running jellybean 4.1.2. from Virgin Mobile. Can I Root this phone with the guide posted here?

Should work. I no longer have the Reverb but I believe the files and the process are still applicable.

Oh yes it is a reconditioned Reverb from Virgin Mobile, will this make a difference?

Should still work. Be sure to use the recovery by mrg666

Do not think any additional software updates have been pushed.

You might reach out to sanjuro77 for confirmation.

I have a galaxy reverb that is 4.1.2. I bought it from someone off Craigslist and I want to root it. 1st question...is there a way to know if it was already JB ootb or ICS upgraded to JB? And 2nd question...trying to install Odin and can't find the dl link after clicking the link in OP. Please help!! Thanks!!

Visit the OUDHS website.

Take a look at the download files they have posted.

Official Unloved Device HitSquad

There is a download link for Odin 3.04.

Hope this helps.

Followed instructions in OP to the letter... Had to use a different link to ODIN. 3.04 wound up working best for me.

Everything went off without a hitch. Rooted JB 4.1.2.

Thanks to everyone who put in all the hard work to figure this out, and to the people who answered my questions and sent me here!
