Well here's hoping we start seeing shipped today.

I'm going sell my iPhone 4, hope it won't be a mistake. This will be my first Android phone are they pretty easy to get used to?

Keeping my iphone 4, can't get enough for it, plus I'm heavily invested in the eco system.

Hoping I see the same...was hoping they shipped early now hoping they ship per the confirmation for the 17th.

I'm not as attached to my iPhone 4 since we still have an iPod touch and an iPad. I figured the longer I wait the less I would get for the phone especially if the iPhone 5 comes this year, which I'm sure it will.

Like I said when I ordered on the 10th it said it will ship on the 16th. Started a "fake" order tonight and it said the same.

Talked to a Rep (GRAIN OF SALT) and he said yes, pre orders for the Note ship tomorrow. PLEASE BE HERE FRIDAY!!!!!!! :(:(:(

i also am keeping my iP 3GS just for a back-up phone in case something breaks on the Note...i run my own business and cant be without a phone.

i wonder what you mean by the quote above tho. invested how?

$? (movies and songs can be simply moved to the Note)

time?

i dont get it.

Correct...apps, movies, songs, books.
Yeah they can be moved, not sure how easy the process is, especially with movies and DRM. Based on the money I'd get, and being a gadgeteer(My only allegiance is to great gadgets not companies), no reason for me to sell my current devices.

i would bet $ all movies and songs can be moved...and prolly kindle books. apps or other books i dont think so :-\

First thing I checked when I got up...still nothing. But really not concerned yet. If Fedex gets them by 2-3pm, thats all the time they need to get them to us tomorrow. Plus I am sure the Notes will come from regional warehouses, so its not likely anybody's Note has to travel across the country or anything.

Moving data from an iPhone to Android has it's pitfalls but DRM issues are very rare.
I have done the transition for many people and being perfectly honest, you might lose some small stuff on the move....Bookmarks, old SMS's, call logs etc...but media of any kind is fairly easy to transfer without any issues.
Samsung Kies will never be confused with iTunes, but it is a useful media and file manager for Samsung devices. Download it on your PC and migrate/copy your media files to Kies. You can backup your contacts, calendars and email to Kies also. But if you are new to Android, remember that Google is your friend and is the best backup for contacts, calendars and email. So establish all of that with your Google account....ahead of time... and it will minimize headaches.

Well, 95% of my e books are epubs, I should be able to pull those over.

So, as of right now no ship notice for me. Can't wait to get that email!

So those of us that used iTunes can just transfer our music, even the protected ones bought on iTunes, to KIES? Is it pretty easy to transfer the music? I have the At&t mobile transfer app an my iPhone to transfer contacts and up to 2GB of pics and video which I don't have that much.

When I ordered on the 10th I tried to order the blue/black but it wouldn't go through. A pop up came up and told me I would have to visit a store on the 19th. I exited out and tried the white Note. It went through without a hitch.

I am going to try the white unit for a while but I really wanted the other. Do you think I will be able to exchange in store (corporate) even though I bought it online?

I have done this once or twice with all carriers but it seems to depend on who the rep. is. Corporate is corporate so I think it should work. Or maybe the white will grow on me. :)

I'm in the same boat but i'm holding off until I decide I want to keep the Note. Love the iPhone, but am ready for something different.

Yeppppp. What is sad is the resale of the Samy phones after a year or so. They aren't worth squat. Hopefully I'll get hooked on android and the Note.

I have not received shipping info yet, but I did get a personal e-mail from a Premier employee who was awesome enough to reach out to me a couple of times throughout the pre-order process. He says that the phone has "dropped to the warehouse" and that everything looks alright. He said I should be receiving a tracking number, but the wording about when the phone actually ships was a little hazy.

I will be sure to post here if/when I receive another e-mail or update. Please do the same! :D

No, I forgot about the iTunes purchases. They do need to be converted to remove the DRM on them. There is freeware that does it. Do a google search and it will come up. Otherwise, yeah Kies does a pretty decent job backing up everything and is about as easy as itunes.

Hmmm what was hazy about it?

Here's a portion of the e-mail:

I wanted to check in with you and confirm if you have received the reminder email. I believe you would have received the email on Friday, February 10th.

Pre sale orders have a shipping expectation of Friday, February 17th.

I show that your order has dropped to the warehouse and there are no issues.

Once shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email which will contain a URL for you to track your order.

Just want to say Thanks, I been asking if there was anything like iTunes that could be used with the Note on other forums and would never get an answer. Even though it doesn't have all the things iTunes has like the Store to buy music, apps, etc. at least it's an easy way to back up music, videos, and pictures.

I did a live chat on the at&t website asking about my order but didn't get any info about my order. This is what he said:

John: The pre-orders will begin shipping today.
John: Your device has been ordered during a special pre-order event. Pre-ordered devices are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. We will notify you by e-mail when your device has shipped from our warehouse.

Yeah we all got that, just the canned response. They don't know anything yet.

I love advanced technologies. When did they get robots to answer questions on chat???
