Yea here in Portland, Oregon its crap, I barely get 1MB up and 768kb down weird how my up is faster than down....on 3G, my 4G I have yet to test cause CM 6.1 isn't 4G yet

Sometimes I find it funny (frustrating, actually) when my 3G speeds is faster than my 4G speeds. And I also experience speeds where my u/l is much higher than my d/l, but these only happens to me using 4G.
In my area, I don't bother turning 4G on. 3G is fast enough for me.
i just got that a while ago...im using htc evo on easytethering and its on 3g...and best of all its free.
Still the fastest down lol...

can you reproduce that?? confirm that your wifi is turned off?
Im using easytethering via usb, i dont use wifi not even 4g cuz im thinking about battery issues...
I think you should try running the test several, several times more. Every once in a while that speedtest.net app will produce fluke scores which technically mean nothing other than the fact that the connection is wonky. Look at my test above and you'll see that reflected in one of my upload speeds. My guess is that result was a fluke.
