Yeah and not only would it break, touchwiz itself is HUGE, like 500MB huge, it has so much functionality that there is no way you would be able to port it without something breaking.
I mean the size of touchwiz alone is bigger than most GNex ROMs that I used to download, almost twice the size in fact.

The Nexus 10 is a Samsung product though is it not ? Just sick of Google not supporting the darn thing.

The nexus line is the absolute easiest for ROM support _- because googles AOSP is open source.
Samsung's touchwiz is not.
Anyway - this is supposed to be about the note 3, not the nexus 10

why then is TouchWiz's closed source issue not a problem for TouchWiz-based ROMs then? not all ROMs based on it are installed exclusively on Samsung phones...

Because those Dev's don't have to really do much to Touchwiz because it is already optimized for our device.
It just takes awhile to come up with a port, and a lot of people just don't see the benefits.

Plus I have heard that messing with Touchwiz is just a pain in the butt.
I am alright with Touchwiz staying the way it is.
