What app to get to see whats running !!

What app do i have to get to see what is running and to turn things of ?Somebody told me to get advanced Task Manager ? what do you guys think ??

Don't get it!

Task killers are not necessary on Android. Android is supposed to keep apps in it's memory, ready to go, and killing them with a task killer does more harm than good.

Menu -> All Apps
then Menu -> Remove App
then select "running" tab

That will be a list of what's running.

Do not get any task killers. Not necessary.

Well, doesn't it free your memory when you kill apps which you don't use atm - thus improving battery life?

I see where you're coming from, but no. I don't know the specifics, but here's the general idea:

You see, an app can be running (stored in RAM) but not actually active. Inactive apps don't use any energy or processing power; it takes the same amount of power to maintain the RAM whether it's full of apps or not.

But when you start to kill things, that's when you're wasting power. Like I said above, android is programmed to fill it's RAM up with apps, allowing it to quickly load those inactive apps. So if you kill an app, android does it's thing and reopens it. That's why anyone who has used a task killer has seen apps reopen them selves when killed, or even seen apps they've not been using open.

And every time android has to reopen an app then it does waste energy and processing power. So do your battery a favour and turn off the task killer

If you find your battery life improves with a battery killer, then it's usually a misbehaving/poorly written app that the task killer is killing. You'd be better off ditching that sort of app and the task killer.

I find that some apps run in the back ground as the HD multitasks. I use an app killer to shut them down this also rids it of any lag.

so i have 2gb download what i try to avoid is that the phone uses all my download to quick without me knowing ! so how do i control this , and make sure it will not happen .?

Check your settings for how often things are syncing and have them sync less often or not at all, depending on your needs.

Get 3G Watchdog, available in market - that will help you keep an eye on usage.
