I must say this is the happiest I have been with a phone purchase and I purchase a new phone 1 - 2 times a year.

I have been going through the apps store since yesterday and have downloaded a ton. The ones I have kept so far are as follow...

  • Calorie Counter
  • ES Task Manager
  • ES File Explorer
  • SkyDroid (Golf GPS)
  • Google Goggles
  • Google Maps Update
  • Golf Channel
  • Movies (app)
  • PKT Auctions Ebay
  • ShopSavvy
  • TMZ
  • Zedge

What about you?

Google Voice
Shazam
Barcode scanner
Skype
Foursquare
Missed Call
OurGroceries
WaveSecure
WiFi Analyzer

If anyone has a good link to another thread, maybe in the android main section, with the best Android apps, I'd love to see it. There is a LOT of info out there, and frankly its a little intimidating for an Android newbie

Tip Calc
Barcode scanner
Google shopping
tag reader
Google goggles

Jewels
Replicant Island

AndMan - pac-man emulator fun
Android LightSaber - yeah, I'm a nerd.

Applications Installed: (All Free)

Astro File Manager

Fun Apps

Google Goggles
Google Sky Map
Google Earth

Facebook
Barcode Scanner (May get rid of depending on how Goggles does)
Compass
Color Flashlight -
Movies (Flixter) - Manage Netflix
LiveScores

Games

RoboDefense
Labyrinth Lite
Gem Miner

Tried but didnt like/work

Droid LED Flashlight (Doesnt work for Incredible yet - besides, the one listed above is better anyways)

Swype - Jury is still out on this one but after about an hour of playing with it i went back to the stock Keyboard.

Pay Apps i am considering and probably will buy soon:

MLB At Bat ($15) I'm a baseball/fantasy junky and LiveScores is awful for anything other than tracking scores

GolfLogix - ($40/year) - Golf GPS for Android. They give you a 24 hour free trial so i'm going to try it out next time out on the course. I've heard there's a free one (Skygolf?) but you have to map your own courses sometimes. I'd rather pay $40 and have the best.

Apps I'm Looking for

Battery Widget
Any other cool apps/Games :D

You just saved my LIFE! That has to be my biggest gripe about this phone is that you have to use the power button to turn the screen on...

I have a Nexus but am four months new to Android and here are some I found and love:

Rev3Remote: has HD videos for free

Astro File Manager: best imo

Act 1 Video Player: Video Player with Brightness and aspect Ratio "On the fly" controls. Also lists your videos normally rather than the way the gallery does it and can easily read video details.

Speedtest.net Android App

Audio Manager: Allows for easy management of ringer media volume, etc.. has a widget too

Beautiful Widgets

USA Today

Engadget

CNBC

Drudge Report App by Vijay Anand best Drudge App!

Rain alarm Pro

Tv.com free episodes of all kinds of TV shows

ustream mobile app

mixzing music player

PodKast Best podcatcher IMO(audio and Video)

Earth Live Wallpaper!!!

No Lock: stops the device from locking when it goes to sleep and can wake it with volume and trackball. Also has a widget.

Wapedia: Best Wikipedia app, must have imo

No call log: stops the device from defaulting to the call log when ending a made call

The Landry Hat: mobile app for Dallas Cowboys fans!

Mobile package tracker: must have if you track packages

Spare Parts: helps manage battery usage and other tools as well

Google Map Address: easy app for saving your location as well as saving navigation favorites

Keeper password: encrypted password keeper

Openhome: Home replacement

Movies by Flickster

Xscoper Browser: was my favorite until Skyfire

All of these are in the Market!
