Alright!

Can't really talk about the Admire, but here are some apps that I've found useful on my rooted Desire HD:

Titanium Backup (available in both free and paid versions... I have the paid version... well worth the money)
Root Explorer (self explanitory - I've used several and the paid version I've linked is the best)
ROM Manager(be careful though, I've heard that this doesn't work/can brick some phones - I only have the free version)
SD Maid (for cleaning rubbish up on your SD card)
Battery Calibrator (for when you flash a new ROM - this resets your battery stats, so that your device will know when it has a full charge... must do a full charge cycle to complete calibration)
Droid Stats (again... not sure if this is root only... I think it is though - I use this to count down from my limits on minutes and data, so I know how much I have left)
KM Launcher (for keyboard management)

Hope this is of some help!

Don't use rom manager on your admire/vitality. You need to flash clockworkmod to use it and I have read from other users that rom manager can brick your phone.

I have TI BU and Root Explorer both I have are paid versions. I have link2SD but not SDMaid .. i dont get what you mean by cleaning rubbish i know iv seen that option in one of the programs i have. Im assuming that it is like defrag on a pc or recycle bin cleaner just sorts/deletes unused or unneeded data?

i already bricked my first admire the first day i received it by trying to use ROM manager so def dont use that or clockmod as one of those cant remember bricked me.

Root Explorer is a need to have and well worth the 3.99 for the amount of stuff you can do with it.

TiBu is a POS in my opinion. I always had problems with restores when using it.

SD Maid is good to go. Love that app.

ROM Manager.....Dont ever use it even if it works with your phone. Ahaha Its so buggy/glitchy at times. (IE doesnt always wipe everything which causes problems after reboot, sometimes doesnt always download and flash the recovery.img the 1st couple times.)

But anyways

Quick Reboot- can rebootinto recovery with one tap of the screen, along with rebooting the phone and bootloader

ScreenShot- handy app

Terminal emulator- if you dont know basica commands dont use it

SetCpu or CPU Master

Absolute System Root tools ( can brick phones)

As I said... I was sure that it didn't work on all phones!

SD Maid is used to tidy things up... it lets you know if you have duplicate copies of stuff or (if memory serves) lets you know if there's stuff that you haven't used (either at all or in a long time). Doesn't actually remove anything unless you tell it to... very useful!

This ^^ :)

Never really had a problem with it... used it on my DHD to flash clockwork and I actually use clockwork to flash/wipe/etc... use ROM Manager (sometimes) to download ROM's... but, considering you can't use it on the admire, it;s a mute point here anyway! :)

Would have put this down, but have this option already in CyanogenMod7, so don't actually have the app

ScreenShot- handy app

Agreed - I actually have shoot me (but the dev took it off the web, as people who didn't understand what being rooted was were trashing him in comments on the market)

Terminal emulator- if you dont know basica commands dont use it

I have this, but have never used it

SetCpu or CPU Master

Again, this is under "advanced settings" or something like that in CM7

Absolute System Root tools ( can brick phones)

Had forgotten to mention this one! :o
