Help What are good replacement chargers for the Samsung Tab 2?

Hello! I'm back, to ask one question.

Backstory: My charger suddenly stopped working, as it seemed to have fried inside the main adapter pack. The wire still works, just not the adapter. I looked to find a new replacement from the OEM, but they are all $50, just for a charger! That's insane. It gave up too easily, for it to cost that much.

So my question is, where can I get a good replacement charger for my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2? Even if it's not from the OEM, or for Android. Something that absolutely works.

Hi,
I have been using for over a year without problem a twin charger branded Duracell Energizer.
It has two 5vdc 500ma outputs, and is plugged in mostly all the time to my Tab2 and Iphone4 and I have no troubles with either.
Duracells batteries may be expensive crap but this charger is fine. Cost with cables

This one from Amazon USA is the same spec and make for the US market.
Amazon.com: Energizer Dual Universal Usb Charger, Pc2-wa, 1-Count: Cell Phones & Accessories

I think you may have to copy and paste that link I am not sure if it works directly from here. It is $14.17 US.

If the cable that came with the Tab is no good then any decent usb to Samsung (except the new mini ones like on the S3 phone) will work.

Further info, this is a 1.5a charger for one phone/tab or .75a for two.

good luck.

A 500ma charger will take a long time to charge your tablet.

There are some decent 1a chargers available on Amazon; use the search and be sure to read all the ratings/comments.

usb wall warts seem to be a dime a dozen, though the higher current output ones are a more rare find.... What is somewhat problematic is this bloody USB cord! WHY OH WHY did Samsung have to use such a monstrosity???? Why couldn't they have used a mini or micro USB port?
