Help What are the folders in my microSD card?

Newbie
Just bought and installed a new Kingston 32GB microSD card in the Atrix. Opened its files and viewed the files in them. They are: .fseventsd, .Spotlight-V-100, .Trashes, LOST.DIR, dcim and ._.Trashes. Do I need these files? If so, what are they for? How would you suggest removing all the files, if safe, to start with a new clean card? Should I do that? Thanks
