What are you currently reading?

Starting David Weber's Honor Harrington series, with On Basilisk Station. Don't think I have read this series before, but the concept is similar to several other authors of the sci fi military drama-- female CO gets exiled to middle of nowhere where she must save the galaxy under impossible odds.

Doesn't make it any less entertaining, though...

bbk - how are you liking Kootz? I've heard his style is very similar to Richard Laymon (my horror go to author) and I am always looking for more authors.

I just finished the A Clash of Kings a few nights back, and I'm thinking that I might try to squeeze in either The Stake or The Bite (both R. Laymon) before jumping into A Storm of Swords. But I'm not sure yet.

I really like him but if you read the reviews alot of them will say his books start out slow, which i can agree on, he like to give alot to setting up the main plot and then once the climax hits (you are normally confused at this point) it's really good... i would recommend this Odd Thomas series (AMAZINGGGGGGG movie for the first book coming out this summer 5 books total as of now 6th and final coming soon)(Odd Thomas Series

since i have been on here I am hocked to Existance series by Abbi Glines
I have read all of Julie Prestsater's series of Against The Wall just waiting for the 3rd one to come to the Kindle....

So I am currently reading:
Predestined (Existence #2) by Abbi Glines
Her Last Letter by Nancy C. Johnson

To read:
The Fallen Star (book 1) by Jessica Sorensen
Stealing Faces by Michael Prescott
Shut Up and Kiss Me by Christie Craig
Tempt Me by Isabel Morin

Anyone reading the Gallagher Girls series by Ally Carter?

Are you starting to get into the series?

I'm reading:-

Real book - Stop Acting Start Living by Bernard Hiller, and
Digital book - When Good Men Do Nothing by Paul Grzegorzek

ill be getting into these after I am done reading the book I am on now ... how many books are in the series?
There are ten main books and one he wrote later, plus some side stories. I just reread one about his sister, Death, who is a cute goth chick in this mythology. All of them should be listed in the back of the first volume. Seriously, even if you're not crazy about the first one give it a chance through volume#3.

You are talking about Gaiman's Sandman series?

... looks like an expensive read, still. The first book is over $11 just for the Kindle version on Amazon.

Just finished Silentium, the 3rd book in the Forerunner trilogy by Greg Bear. I was very disappointed with the 2nd book in the trilogy so wasn't expecting much here. I forgot the guy is a genius and Silentium didn't disappoint. It tied up a lot of loose ends, and did an excellent job of fixing some of the gaping plot holes that were created as a result of the stuff that went on in Halo 4. It didn't turn out to be too Deus Ex Machina either.

Going back to read Forge of God now. :)

Well, they are just thick comic books so they don't really take that long to read. I would definitely go for the print versions over the digital. Look up the Absolute Sandman on Amazon if you want to see something cool. Way expensive, but I would love to have those. Oversized leather bound hardcovers with slipcases and silk ribbon bookmarks.
