I'm currently reading "American Gods" by Neil Gaiman.
Great book. He used some of the same concepts in the Sandman series of graphic novels, like the idea that gods only have power as long as people believe in them.
bbk - how are you liking Kootz? I've heard his style is very similar to Richard Laymon (my horror go to author) and I am always looking for more authors.
I just finished the A Clash of Kings a few nights back, and I'm thinking that I might try to squeeze in either The Stake or The Bite (both R. Laymon) before jumping into A Storm of Swords. But I'm not sure yet.

that sounds like an interesting read i am gonna go look them up now
The Sandman series is amazing. The first book is a little bit typical, but by the third book you will be hooked. All time classic.
There are ten main books and one he wrote later, plus some side stories. I just reread one about his sister, Death, who is a cute goth chick in this mythology. All of them should be listed in the back of the first volume. Seriously, even if you're not crazy about the first one give it a chance through volume#3.ill be getting into these after I am done reading the book I am on now ... how many books are in the series?

gezzzz with how much i dont get to read much now a days it will take me FOREVER! to finish that series ... well i got my work cut out for me now
Well, they are just thick comic books so they don't really take that long to read. I would definitely go for the print versions over the digital. Look up the Absolute Sandman on Amazon if you want to see something cool. Way expensive, but I would love to have those. Oversized leather bound hardcovers with slipcases and silk ribbon bookmarks.
Haha sounded like you just a nerdgasam there Gmash haha
