I get out quite a bit actually. I just got back from a vacation in Mexico. I'll be heading to Europe in October as well. I've always just spent all my money on Yankee tickets and vacations throughout the years as opposed to going to see bands/artists perform.

You live in nyc, and haven't been to a show? Dude, you need to go right now, buy tickets to any show that you may remotely like, and gooooooo!!!!!!!
It is such a moving experience to see gifted musicians live, in their element.

I was waiting for Paramore or one of the other bands that I like to do a show at MSG or Nassau Coliseum but then I completely forgot and never checked up on it. I would have given up anything to see Nirvana play live back in the 90s.

I saw Pearl Jam on Randall's Island in 1997 (I think) and it was the #1 best concert I have ever seen. They played Yellow Ledbetter, and I guess that is a very rare occurrence....
