Class 4. It's the SD-C16G variety.

EDIT: I ordered my DX online from VZW.com on launch day 12:30 AM.
 
Came with Class 4 - "JAPAN".....I hate that Motorola used these generic cards .

I have replaced it with the 32 GB Sandisk purchased from VZW, which is a class 2.

I imagine they are made my Sandisk or another reputable firm, they are probably shipped to Verizon in bulk and are missing the brand name.

The Droid X is totted as recording 720p, from what I understand, a class 4 card is REQUIRED to record at 720p (class 2 is supposedly too slow), so ALL new X's should come with one, if not I would contact Verizon and find out whats up.

EDIT: Also, if it makes a difference, I bought my directly from Verizon.

Also, remember the DX has 8gb of flash storage space separate from the SDcard. It might record there then transfer over to the SD when it's done.


I got mine a day before release day (@droidxlanding #7), and it comes with a SanDisk branded class 2 card. It says "Made in China" in very light writing on the card (almost microscopic).
 
Mine came with a Class 2 SanDisk. I can record 720p with it, so not going to sweat it. Besides, I'll eventually get a 32GB card anyways, so this one is just there until then.
 
Fellas, Mine is UnBranded Class 2 it says made in KOREA. I bought my phone from Amazon Wireless. I guess I will have to fight with them to get a fresh and working SD Card.

Please Help....
 
So after seeing this thread I checked mine and its a generic class 2 made in korea. I got my phone on new years day from a VZW store. 4 hours later I look at my phone and it says safe to remove sd card in the notification bar so I try to mount it. Then it says blank sd card in the notification bar and it wont let me format the card. So now my card doesn't work at all and I lost everything. The worst part of it is I was at work when I read this thread and I told myself im gonna backup my card to my computer when I get home just in case. Well I didn't get the chance the card decided to self destruct before I got home.

Just looked at my card, Sandisk class 2. got it in the middle of december.
