As a new customer to orange I got offered a better deal than my retentions deal with 02. 2.50 a month less. Crazy, could I get better? I got offered 20 pounds phone, 22.50 a month, 300 mins, ulimited internet, unlimited texts. Any better deal than this? 24 months.

vodaphone would not haggle with me at all, just said what they did and then basically tried to hang up.

Even though it's not as good as some of the deals listed here, I'm really happy with mine:

Lastly, is 500 MB enough for a phone like HTC Desire?

should be okay. I wasn't sure about my usage so went with T-Mobile. You get 3gb on their unlimited -and they're the only UK provider who will not charge you for going over. They just send you a text to say 'oi, go easy'.
