This is my first time rooting my droid x2. I have got to the sbf tutorial and have completed all the steps. It seems like everything went well. But when the phone starts at factory reset (activating my phone...ect) and I am entering all my info (ie gmail account info, facebook, ect) it says the account is already signed in on the phone. Also Ive noticed the phone freezes. Also I click on my contacts and it doesn't even enter.

I do not want to proceed in installing a recovery app without fixing this problem. Thanks in advance.
 
So you just flashed a SBF using RSD, and your phone is acting wonky? Ok, after reboot you added your Google account, and clicked sync contacts? If so, shut down, then hold the volume down button while holding the power button and keep holding until you see the text at the top. Volume down until you see System Recovery, then volume up. When you see the exclamation point in the triangle, press both volume buttons at once. Select Reset Data and Cache or whatever it is (just woke up, still in bed) then Reboot at see what happens.
 
If you're still having problems, I would hrab a fresh copy of your sbf and start over. A bad download has caused problems more times than I can remember...
 
Ah, good. After you flash your phone, give it a good ten minutes and reboot. Give it another in a half hour or so. A new ROM usually needs some settling in.
