Iphone appeared slightly quicker, but the Desire looked like the pages were rendered better for the screen.

I can't believe that a half second difference in opening a web page will (a) ever be noticed by anyone or (b) really sway people to one device or the other. Pretty pointless test if you ask me. But what do we expect from the "Gadget Inspectors"?

hmmm the test they did is misserable hehe look at the content of pages the phones had to render only text and nothing else. why didn't they load pages full of flash content or images or other scripts that are heavy on loading?
another thing the resolution of the desire is much greater so it has to render more pixels.
and how do we know if it was connected to even the same wifi router?
very unprofessional test. but you can see more tests on youtube which shows better tests
i think either Apple paid poor Telegraph or gave free iphones to these two guys to run this test

LOL @ the guy calling it an 'HT Desire' before the test starts. Get it right if you want to be taken seriously!
This 'test' is a joke anyway. How many other apps are running on the Desire when they perform it? There could be a few, slowing it down by the milliseconds that the iPhone wins by. As we know, the iPhone does not multitask, so nothing else CAN be running in the background .
Also, it is stated that the exact same app cannot be loaded on each device for testing. How about, just off the top of my head, Shazam??

Yeah I must admit that the conclusion they drew was hardly based on a thorough test of all the features!

It's like saying I am today testing a Ferrari and a Ford Galaxy. Look I can put more petrol in a Galaxy therefore its the better car.
