Help What do you do for good battery life?

There are many things u can do to save battery. I get a full day outta it at school, using the school wi-fi when I need keeping 3g off unless needed when no wi fi around. keep GPS off. download the hot reboot, and dont use a task killer, rather a hot restart.

I've found Juice Defender to be quite helpful in extending the Battery Life. What it does is keep apps from auto-synching to the internet at will. Instead it restricts Synching to windows of time. The only downside that i have seen is that since JD turns on synching when your screen goes on, my phone can become unresponsive for a while (like maybe 10 to 15 seconds) when I unlock it.

leave my phone off.

seriously though, i use Y5 & Ultimate Juice & Timeriffic to keep stuff in check. Also, CM 6.1 has ridic battery life (from a few days testing)

I personally can go 2 days on the stock battery IF needed. I can go throughout my day making about 10 phone calls, 50 txt msgs, using wi-fi when avail. YMMV everyone is diff. and if I need to make the phone last longer there are things that can be done. as for daily, I keep 3g on all day and still have at least 40% by night time, waking up at 6 am, I fully charge before I go to bed, then use it as an alarm clock that way it's not on the charger all night, even though yes the bump charging issue prevents any over heating. it's just my process. do you., uno

It's a good way,but you can keep some opps off first.

I get on average 24hrs of moderate use
WiFi always on (connected about 50% of the time)
100% Screen Brightness
GPS only on when needed
Mobile Network ON

CM6 , and Set CPU set at 998mhz max 225mhz min. Profile for screen off 320mhz max and 225mhz min.

That's pretty much it, I got even better life with Virtious and the battery saving kernal they provided as option . I also only charge my batteries in an external charger

I get about 4 to 6 hours. Moderate use.

That's pretty low. Are you rooted?

I've found over the past 6 months the biggest battery drainers are syncing apps. Do you have stuff constantly polling the net to do updates? twitter,FB,peep,email,news,weather,etc...?

I'm not a time critical person so I can update all this stuff manually when I want to although I do poll every hour for weather and email.

I leave "sync all" disabled and sync when I want.

Bump charging helps quite a bit.

I also got a $14 HTC 1500mah for the TP2 from ebay it's a really nice boost.

Is it possible to disable only certain apps from syncing all the time? Actually, I really just care about my email syncing frequently. The rest of them can be every half hour or more. I didn't see any settings for this in a brief looking in "Accounts & Sync"

i just keep gps and 3g off unless i'm using it. i always have somewhere to charge my phone so that helps.

If you don't use the HTC news, stocks and weather app you can set them to sync manually. Which should help with battery life. I set them to.
