i have two guesses. just want to see if you agree with either of them.
1. the snake at the mouse while it was still alive. the mouse ate through the stomach, but died as the stomacxh acids ate it up.
2. the mouse was still alive, killed the snake from the inside and a bird like a hawk or something, picked the stomach open and ate the mouse.

Number two, the snake was open, the mouse chewed up its skin.

another possibility is that the snake killed and ate the mouse. while it was trying to digest it a hawk or eagle killed the snake and picked it stomach open to find the mouse and began to pick at it.
