What do you want in the first big update?

How about starting from scratch with a functional browser, something akin to the stellar iPhone browser? The EVO browser is terrible !

use a blackberry browser (new and previous models) or an old palm treo browser and then you will retract your statement. blackberry users know what im talking about. count your blessings bud.

What exactly is your issues with the Evo browser? I think its great. I had a iphone and used Safari and it was always crashing, the Evo stock browser has been fine for me.

and as someone else said there are many 3rd party browsers to use.

Funny thing is, Safari and the stock browser both use WebKit on the backend, they're almost the same thing anyway.

• Battery Life
• Make it so that all the programs that update, do so, only when the Evo is plugged in.
• Allow me to delete any and ALL programs I don't want.

Hell yes. I used a Curve and a Tour and I hated the browser. Coming from that the Evo browser is a Godsend. if u use a BB browser u will appreciate the Evo browser alot more

1 wifi range
2 resolve data problems switching from calls to browser
3 30fps
4 fix youtube so it buffers better and doesn't close periodically, also locks phone when loading vids and phone goes to sleep.
5 battery life (battery drop 100%-90% in minutes)

The only one I would like that hasn't been mentioned already is to be able to change the lock screen wallpaper like previous versions/phones without a secondary app.

WTF are you talking about, the stock browser kills iPhone Safari.

Another want for the update: fix the low-res contact photos issue.

Generally phones have legitimate issues that have to get fixed, but it doesn't really appear to be so. Sure there are isolated issues, but nothing too debilitating (IMO).

Try to keep it realistic. Also, nothing 2.2 related since its not even officially released.

-Better battery life (not sure the best way to accomplish this - just overall optimization I guess)
-Remove the FPS cap.
-Improve wifi range (not sure if this is software or hardware related)

The blessing of running a stable OS and a stable interface is that there aren't many glaring issues, but there isn't too much room for improvement IMO.

Call my crazy and a downer but the latter two are generally going to be mutually exclusive from the first

- BT support for keyboards
- HDMI support for all apps and phone screen, not just the video player.
- USB "plug n play" or whatever the official name for that is. I want to plug in external storage, or a mouse, etc.

Plus most of the rest of what is mentioned above.

Oh, one other thing. When typing in a text input box the left/right arrow keys should move the cursor at a rapid rate when long pressing. This crap of tapping repeatedly to scroll through text is annoying.

I hope they come out with an update that fixes how my Evo cooks my breakfast. I'm really, it can't scramble my eggs worth a $hit.

how about they move the period button on the keyboard, I ALWAYS hit it trying to hit the space bar. And fix the crappy wifi reception. Also, it seems like the headphone output is quite low, even when maxed out?
