What do your X Screens look like?

After more than 2 weeks of tinkering, I think I like this...just need a better folder icon for my Food folder. (Sorry for the small pics, couldn't figure out how to get them larger). Using LPP, and LPP widgets on the dock and for folder icons, Background from Flikie, Folder Organizer lite on the right screen.

Dude, I need that wallpaper! XD

It's from Flikie...just happened across it. If you try to look through it, you could spend hours, but they are worth it! Don't know how well this will work, but here is the file:

What app for the groupings around the apps? IE weather/internet/gadgets?

Folder Organizer

I dropped two screens after installing Folder Organizer.

You'll use even less real estate once you use App Organizer which is basically a folder for apps.. with nice icons.

Folder Organizer was cool for me.. then I uninstalled it. It make things look too busy. I actually liked having apps shortcuts out there with the labels hidden which Folder Organizer (at least the free version) didn't do for me.

I got my lock screen the way I want it now. The weather and audio adjustments are disabled until I swipe left on the lock to enable them.

Is there any advantage of paid folder organiser compared with free app organiser? Can you create a folder for bookmarks with folder organiser?

(Looks like you cannot do that with app organiser)

Sorry, I don't know, all I saw was the paid version and after installing, hints of a free version.

Can someone tell me what the calendar widget in the center of the screen is here?

The clock/weather app (Weather & Toggle Widget). This is the only app I've found that mimics the HTC Sense's animated weather. I'm using the h7c-clock skin and h7c-weather skin, which was recommended in another post, so not my idea. (It was in my original post.) You'll have to download it to your SD card and install them from the card. It takes a while to figure out but I never found them on the Market, so there was a way to find them from the app itself if you play with it awhile. Sorry, don't have time right now to check. BTW, this is the only app I've found that animates the rain drops, followed twice by the windshield wiper, really cool. I tried to get a screen shot, but it wasn't fast enough and all I got was a piece of it after about 20 attempts.

I didn't want to create an account over there so I'll ask here.

So I downloaded all three items, including the usb driver folder. However, when I connect my X via USB debugging mode and go into device manager to update the driver, it says "Windows could not find driver software for your device."

I have no clue what's wrong. I'm directing it to the usb_driver folder that I downloaded but I keep getting the same message. Help please!

You need to uninstall your existing driver in device manager and install the Motorola 4.60 drivers, as mentioned in the Root section. Motorola Verizon Droid X USB Drivers & PC Charging Drivers Download | Verizon Cell Phones | Blog about Verizon Phones

I downloaded the launcher pro app and am trying it out. But I am not seeing how some of you are changing the layout, example to the HTC Sense layout, with launcher pro. How are yall doing these things?

I had both, but Folder Organizer has more options. I use the free version. I contacted the developer with a question and he mentioned two differences between the free and paid apps. Free has ads and you have to go into the app to make changes to the folders; the paid version has no ads and lets you modify the folders directly.

And yes, you can create a folder for bookmarks with FO-Lite.;)

Nothing exciting yet, so far I love the X.

A few of these apps are for my kids. They love playing with the noisy ones.

You will have to insert it via the "Widget" function (long press an empty space on one of your screens > widget > Pandora).

Are you talking about the ADW Theme or just the Wallpaper posted above? If it's the theme, you will need the ADW Launcher in order for it to be installed. Once you have everything in place, Menu Button > ADW Settings > Themes > Than choose which theme you want to apply and save.

Wallpaper is pretty easy, just hit Menu Button > Wallpaper > Choose the folder you saved the background to > click the wallpaper and save.

Yes, I'm using WidgetLocker.

Is there any special steps to set the lock screen wallpaper? The "Alternate wallpaper" setting is checked, but every time I set the wallpaper in either WidgetLocker or for the home screen that picture takes over both. It does not matter what sequence, i.e. home screen then lock screen or lock screen then home screen. The only difference is when setting it in WidgetLocker the cropping area is smaller than the cropping area for the regular wallpaper.

Educate this grasshopper please. :)

how are some of you getting weather in the notifications bar?

With Beautiful Widgets you have the option of putting the temp. in the notification bar. The Weather Channel Widget has the same option.

I had someone else PM me with the same issue and I'm not sure what causes it. Try setting your home screen wallpaper and then the WidgetLocker wallpaper. I'll do some checking in the settings and see if I can find anything else that may be causing problems.

Thanks Airmaxx23. I don't want to hijack the thread, but it's been bugging me since I haven't seen anyone else mention this issue, and a search online did not produce any good results.

thank you for your help!!

Did that work for you?

Nope. I tried both ways, home screen then WidgetLocker and WidgetLocker then home screen. The WidgetLocker shows a narrow cropping area whereas the regular wallpaper display the normal cropping area. I'm using pictures that are in my galley, and even tried a reboot since someone mentioned that when first installing WidgetLocker.

I have a feeling that I'm doing something really idiotic but just cannot figure out what it is.
