In short, I do not use the gmail app for email, instead I use k-9 setup for imap, I also do not use any social networking apps or anything, what exactly does data sync prevent if you disable it? I know it prevents gmail from checking for email messages, which I am fine with, but will it prevent k-9 from getting messages through imap/push? And what else will it prevent if I disable it?
