Help What Does E Mean?

So, I left Virgin Mobile and am now on this phone with T-Mobile. Liking it so far. Question though: when I don't have 4G service, sometimes a capital E is there. What does that mean?

Thanks. I look forward to this forum as a great resource for my new phone.

The 'E' stands for Edge, basically the Edge Network is 2G.

T-Mobile removed the 3G off of the 4G phones (because they are the same Network)..
So you will only ever see an 'E' or '4G'.

Thanks.

I did also see a 'G', but only for a minute or two.

Also, I think I'm in the wrong forum. How do I tell if I have an Exhibit or an Exhibit II? I just bought this new from T-Mobile prepaid for around $200.

Sounds like you have the Exhibit II...do a Google search for Samsung Exhibit...you will find pics of both phones, they look nothing alike.

I've seen a 'G' & a '2' once in awhile, I think that has something to do with AT&T.
