What does this mean??

In the display settings there is an animation option which says show screen transition animations. What does this do I checked it and seen no animations just wondering and does this waste the battery life.

Check show all animations and play around with your phone for a few minutes to get an idea. I have them turned off as well.

I turned them on once, played with it for a few minutes, then turned them back off. I didn't like the way they looked. Others probably do. Turn 'em on and see which way you like it.

And yes more animations means more battery use!!
