Could someone please post a photo of their SD card directory after you have applied the app2sd? Does it show the root directory and the extension that has been formed?

If its on 2.1, it won't look any different. Apps are stored on a separate partition from the normal FAT32 one. So a Windows computer won't see it. And depending on which apps2sd version your using, there may or may not be a /sd-ext/ directory.
