Root What files to rename?

Very sorry if this has been talked about but did a search and could not find the answer.

I keep getting the OTA popup asking me to update my radio to 602.

My phone works 100% the way it is and i just do not want to mess with it. I have Root Explorer and can rename any files to "BAK" but need to know which file/files i need to rename.

Thanks in advance.......................sorry if this is a duplicate.

Lenny,

Well, I just recently did this...the file you want to (maybe ;)) rename is

/system/app/BlurUpdater_VZW.apk

(I renamed mine to BlurUpdater_VZW.bak and I didn't touch its corresponding .odex file).

Now, I should warn you that I think this might be the reason that I got some weird stuff when I eventually renamed it back and tried to accept the OTA.

This is all documented here in this post:

http://androidforums.com/droid-x-all-things-root/398447-602-rooted-without-sbfg-wiping.html#post3110090

Like I said in the above post, I'm not 100% sure that this was the reason why I got the "Motorola Service Account Required" message when I checked for a system update, but I'm pretty suspicious (and was a little crestfallen when I had to do a factory reset in order to actually get the OTA to work).

Anyway, that's the file I renamed and I never once got the OTA prompt/notification.

Hope that helps.

Cheers!
