What I missed from my ol' dumb phone

haha, damn! Why did Motorola take out the camera button on the Atrix!!! I understand why HTC doesn't since it 'cramps' their uni-form/minimalistic design.

I've actually been contemplation about putting a hole in my case for a lanyard.

Only issue, the DX is CDMA, lol...damn Verizon and its incompatibility to most countries in the world!!!

Oh yeah, I forgot you were up in the Great, White North where CDMA phones are useless. Well if it makes you feel any better, I'm currently looking to get a GMA device so that when I move to Canada it will be able to work on their system.

So goodbye to the DX for me.

Moving back to Vancouver soon? I think the Droid Pro is penta ban GSM/UMTS and CDMA and can be used like really anywhere in the world.

I'm not sure if you want to sign a 3 yr contract *coughs*...might be a good idea to buy a phone from AT&T and just unlock it and you can use it on any Robelus (Rogers/Bell/Telus) networks. There are a few new upstarts that you might want to look into (Wind Mobile and Mobilicity) which have cheaper plans ('unlimited' voice/data for $45/$55). Only caveat is that they only have networks in major cities, so you have to pay for roaming if you leave said areas. Look into them see if they are for you, their frequencies compatible with TMobile's phones.

Single button vibrate/audible ringer; and single button speaker/handset audio. Also, the ability to use it while not looking, due to the tactile buttons.

Vancouver eventually, but might be going through Calgary first. I'm looking really hard at the LG Optimus G2x which is dual band, works on T-Mo and AT&T. So yeah once I get up there I figure I'll unlock it an use it on which ever provider it will work on.

Would rather do that than get one up there as there seems to be a huge disparity between Android devices available down here as compared to up there. Hopefully that will change soon!

Edit : no Droid Pro for me. For one me likey the big screen devics. And two, I don't like Moto's locked bootloaders. My exfiancee has one, and it's ok. But not my taste.

I really miss not having the feeling of being tracked by the man (google/government) and having every single thing we do logged in a database and fully available. Call me paranoid! But the Google CEOs admitted it :(
