Help What I think so far..BAt issues

Im running Atrix 4G with 4g data plan ATT network, also have the laptop/dock. Im rooted and the bloat is gone, only complaint I have is BATTERY LIFE, This is not my first droid so I know the normal tricks to extend batt life, I also have Juice Defender w/ Ultimate juice, it helps a little but, even with low useage after 3.5 hours I am at 10% . I think I got a bad battery. Any one else experiencing this. Other than that I love the unit and is my best phone to date.

My battery life is actually really good. I use the Android widget "Power Control" to toggle the GPS, WiFi, Screen brightness etc during non-usage times and Advanced Task Killer frequently to ensure apps are not running in the back ground.

I can go all day (browsing and calling) from 7am to 9pm without a charge and when I pop it on the charger I'm still at 20% or so.

try the main atrix forum threads on this, but yeah, that's excessively low. Since you know all the ins and outs of how to conserve batteries than yep, sounds like a bad bat to me. Just another tip though, apparently you don't need a 3rd party battery manager like juice for this phone, the shipped battery is a powerful one and some tech-heads are reporting that 3rd party managers are actually a bad idea. I don't use one, and have a ton of uptime.

update , I returned the battery to att store and they gave me a new one, and now i can go 12 hours no problem . moderate to heavy use, was a bad battery.....

That's great to hear Now you can fully enjoy your Atrix! Define moderate to heavy use? lol I think I'm light to moderate user...but I'm rethinking that.

I concur Roze. I used to think I was a light user but I send close to 50+ Texts in a day among other things so I don't think that's light use by any standards

If that's all you do on your phone....then that's pretty light.

I send 50 texts in an hour, lol , long calls on speaker, FB, Firefox browsing, Angry birds, Snipe, Pandora, camera... Im on this thing alot.... im on it right now !

what kind of life are you getting out of it?
