What is it about this cable???

So, I was having issues connecting my Bionic to the phone and realized that I wasn't using the Bionic supplied cable, plugged it in and VIOLA! it worked...

What is it about this cable that actually makes it work when every other cable doesn't?

I mean I am not MAD about this since I can always use wireless ways to transfer data (dropbox etc)...

I am just trying to figure out HOW it works...

I have the 2 that came with the phone, and the 5 I bought from those links above and all 7 work perfectly fine with my BIONIC.

As cheap as they are, invest in a couple - you'll thank me later - again, and again, and again....

I think I thank you enough as it is =P hahaha.

I will pick up a few in a week or two.

I rarely if ever actually connect my phone to the PC as it is...

Lol so true - you do thank me a lot, you're probably my top thanker, so thank you!

As for the cables - yah, I have those 5 I bought pretty much useless now since I use only one in the truck to charge the discharged extended battery, one connected to the PC (used to connect both BIONIC and DROID to PC when I need to). Since I don't do any in-phone battery charging anymore, the rest are just sitting there lol.

I also bought a pair of these from monoprice... For only $5.22 each when QTY 50+ purchased - 10ft 34AWG Standard Speed w/ Ethernet Micro-HDMI (Type D) to HDMI (Type A) Adapter Cable w/Ferrite Core - Black | Micro-HDMI to HDMI Cables

Just so I could connect my BIONIC via HDMI to my HD TVs....

Not that bad!

Yeah I thank you a lot because you are one of the most valuable contributors I have ever met on any forum I have ever visited, and I have played a lot of MMOs hahahaha.

Yeah I use other USB Cables to charge the phone, I even use one at the office to charge it and it is plugged into the PC.

I use the one that came with my Bionic ... no problem.
I use the one that came with my Droid X stand for connecting to the PC ... no problem.

[OT]You just made me reach being thanked 1000 times....

Honestly, it's people like a lot of the readers and users of this forum that have made me stick here, helping every little bit that I can....[/OT]

I wonder if it is only cables made for the DROID and older phones that are causing the problems?
