Root What is my default / installed font

I've found a lot of information on how to change your default font but I can't find anything on how to find the default or installed font you currently have. Anybody know where or how to look? I found a fonts folder in /system using root explorer and there are a number of fonts in it but no indication which one or ones are installed.

This link has a whole bunch of flashable fonts, in addition to the information you asked for:

239 Flashable Font Packs - Change your system fonts the easy way! - xda-developers

The default font is DroidSans. There is a link to it in the above xda link. You can get it here:

FontPack-DroidSans.zip

Basically, if you open up any flashable zip font update, you'll see that they all look the same. That is, the ttf files are basically whatever font you want to flash, renamed to DroidSans. That way, the system still thinks it's using the same font, but you replaced it with a different one.

:eek::eek:
Tricky tricky!
Lol

Haha, and in case you're wondering, I never bothered to look at how they did it either. I actually had to download a few flashable fonts, and open them to see how it worked to answer the question.

Nice. I have a folder on my sd card with a few of my favorite fonts in it, and i switch from time to time. I forget which one im on right now but i like it.
Some look good in the screenshots, but are hard to read, and you have to flash them to see how it actually looks on your phone in person.
There is 239 of them, so start downloading a few and see which ones you like

See - I downloaded this app - Absolute System Root Tools - and it has a utility built in that allows you to switch boot animations or fonts without flashing. So while I was still on Myns I flashed a couple of font changes only to realize I didn't know what font I had started out with because I had no idea where to look to find the currently installed font. So I figured using a terminal emulator you could enter a certain command and it would tell you what the currently installed font was. Maybe there's a much simpler way but that's what I was trying to figure out.

So you want to find what custom font you currently have installed?
