What is Smartshare on Revolution and how do you do it?

It's discussed in the users manual beginning on page 156. Basically, it uses DLNA to share digital content (music, video, pictures) through a wireless network with other DLNA certified devices. Set it up on your Revo from the Settings menu, Wireless & Networks -> SmartShare Settings. - MarkC

SmartShare allows you to make your phone a media server on other DLNA enabled devices. So, say you want to play movies that are on your phone on your TV, you have to be on the same WiFi network as your PS3, XBOX, or TV. On the PS3 you have to enable media server connections. Not sure about XBox and my TV won't play most of my movies because it doesn't support as many file types as the PS3. I just always use my PS3.

This will allow you to listen to music and view photos through your TV that are on your phone as well.

Once everything is configured you will see your phone listed in the various dropdown menus on your PS3; pictures, videos, music. You can only play videos from the video tab and can only view pictures under the pictures tab. It will probably be a little different depending on your device.

Note that the files have to reside in phone memory or SD card. This will not allow you to stream Netflix to your TV, for example. If you want to do that or view your phone screen on your TV you need to get a micro HDMI cable.
