what is the adverage tempeture of a droid while chargeing?

mine gets upward 120 degrees sometimes. and even when its not chargeing it can get pretty hot too. is this normal? right now its rooted and running 2.2. also has setcpu installed with ondemand profile selected.

Do use the setcpu profiles? I set mine to max out at 600MHz when charging. when not charging it runs between 800MHz and 1000MHz.

Agreed. you should not have to worry about temps if you use the profiles correctly.

Also, bewarned that the temp you're seeing is the battery temp, which is usually an indication that the CPU is actually running hotter than that.

so then what is a good frequency to keep my droid at? right now im expirienceing a bit of lag on 2.2 but that may be due to all the widgets i have running idk really. id just like to go a bit faster...

Eliminating lag is simple - all post 2.0.1 ROMS - get rid of the 3D launcher, use an alternative - ADW.launcher and Launcher Pro are excellent replacements.
