There is the time, then something that looks like an eye with 3 eyelashes then the icon to say I am on the internet.

My guess is that it's the smart stay feature that Samsung put on some of their devices. It uses the front facing camera to work out if you're looking at the device so that it knows to keep the screen on.
(whether it actually works or not is a different story)
