Help What is the latest android version for HTC one s?

I've been stuck on 4.1.1 for an age and am sick of the bugs and drop in battery life.

When I try searching for info on the latest version, I keep finding stories of '4.1.2 out on tmobile us', from way back in March, and other stories speculating that 4.2 may be coming out, but no stories more recent than summer.

My phone is unlocked, I'm in the UK, should I be able to get 4.1.2?

I'm not too fussed about 4.2 or above, just want these bugs fixed!

Can I get any higher if I root?

Why is there no info?
 
New android 4.4 has been popping up, however those are in development. you will most likely have issues if you do not choose a stable build with a custom rom. there are stable builds with 4.3

If you are going to root and go that route - read - read - read.
 
Yup, sorry have not been here for a while. If you want custom Roms you need to read how to install, if you cannot find out here what you need google it, one good site is XDA android.
