What is the practical difference between dual core and quad core?

I'm Looking at Buying One of These 2 Tablets but Need Help...Which One Is The Better Out Of The 2?

I have tried cheaper tablets.. so has many of my family.
NO one was satisfied. Only if you cant afford a little more.
I guess if I had to pick I would go with the Acer.

if you can find a way to spend $180 range.. you can find a better tablet with more long range use.

I prefer more RAM.. and better CPU .. if you can afford it.
1 GB of RAM is a big bottleneck for using better apps or games.
CPU is the other.
