Help What is this and how do i remove it????

This just showed up after an update I did. I can't seem to remove it permanently.

Found out how to remove it.... hold the back button.... and hold it to make it re-appear.

Now that I know what it's for how to you add other apps to it???

Looks like the split screen multi-task menu. Not sure how you make it disappear.

Oops..you beat me to it!

You can't add any more apps to it, any that are capable of being split screened will be there already. To use, hold down on an app icon and drag to top/bottom half of the screen. True Multitasking.

As a matter of interest, did everyone have to do this update or did it come pre installed?
My 1st handset needed the update but my new one came with it installed.
