That means you are in silent mode and the phone is set to vibrate.

When you have it on vibrate or "sound off"

I sometimes swipe to the left instead of right to unlock my phone and activate "sound off" mode by mistake

I started using the pattern to unlock so you don't need to do any sliding left or right
