Hi,

thanks for the reply, it still runs android and isn't it the OS that gets rooted not the device? I've seen other chinese tablets rooted such as flytouch??

So there's no way to root this tablet and/or install a custom ROM?

I think with tablets like the Flytouch, these are fairly common outside of China now, so efforts have been made to make a non-Chinese ROM for them, so they can sometimes get the Google Market and apps

I'm sure a ROM has to be customized and compiled to the specific device, e.g. what hardware is in the thing. There's sometimes more information about this kind of thing on some Chinese forums.

I already have the android market installed, it just seems the ROM currently installed is very buggy and slow, would just be nice to get a ROM that ran smoothly
