Just in case anyone sees this and has the same issue...
As you go through the registration process, GV gives the forward code as *004*nnnnnnnnnn#. For AT&T, you actually need to enter an extra * to start the string (**004*...). With the extra *, I had no problems and am now enjoying GV.
I can't get texts with picture attachments to send or receive! I called ATT and they had me put my sim into my old Captivate...it wouldn't send or receive texts with pictures either. They told me to go to an ATT store tomorrow and get a free replacement sim card. 
Other than that the phone works great! Waiting for the Captivate to boot up while I was on the phone with ATT reminded me of why I switched. The tech rep even commented how long it was taking to boot up. And that was without my 16gig sim in there to media scan...

Are youusing LauncherPro? I have seen the same issue but have only noticed it when LauncherPro is installed.
So far Ive noticed that the Gingerbread keyboard is incredibly small. Much smaller than on my Nexus One, so much so that its unusable. Hopefully on the official release it will be resized to be usable.
My FlipClock app also isnt spaced correctly. The minutes are practically hanging over the : sign between the hours and minutes. It was spaced correctly on my Nexus One.
Lastly, after a factory reset, my app market is back to the original style, not the newer updated style. It wont update to the newer one either. This is almost not a problem since I like the older style better and its much quicker to open and not slow down.

is there a silent mode? on my other androids i used to able to click on the down volume button past vibrate and it would put it on silent

Rock, for silent mode press the button on the phone to turn it on. Once you get the option to unlock it by swiping it, look to the right. Swipe that one instead and it will silence it.

Cool thks...have another concern. My led notification light only blinks when my phone screen is off in the stand by mode. Once I wake up the phone the led blinking light stops. Is this normal thks
Kind of makes sense. It tells you theres a notification and when you wake up the phone, youre right there to check to see what it is. No need to notify you anymore right?
One other thing that bothered me, and I dont know if its something I did wrong, but none of my apps downloaded in the app market. I had to go through and download each one individually.
When I picked up the inspire last week, they all downloaded at once. Is this the difference between sense and blur? Or was it something I forgot to set on the Atrix?

Update: After three tech support phone calls and a visit to the flippin ATT store for a new sim card it turned out to be the exact thing that I thought it was and told all of the support people... The moron who activated my phone screwed up my account. He somehow disabled multimedia texting.
I have this same issue and have Launcher Pro Plus installed. Sometimes the screen comes on immediately when pressing the power button...most of the time there is a 1-3 second delay. Annoying.
EDIT: Per LP's forums, this problem is due to LP needing to access / check the microSD card for apps to load into the drawer. I removed my card and the delay is gone. Since I don't use the card anyway, this is an OK workaround for me.
Has this permanently solved the delay? I don't have an SD card in my phone, but sometimes I still see this behavior. Sometimes it takes a few seconds for the screen to come on.

Here is my problem:

I have found the touchscreen [COLOR=#035C9F ! important][FONT=inherit ! important][COLOR=#035C9F ! important][FONT=inherit ! important][/FONT][/FONT][/COLOR][/COLOR]to be very annoying. Most of the time when I text, the keys just seem to respond very sluggishly and very periodically the screen starts going haywire and does not respond to my touches at all. I would say on average (sometimes less in a day and sometimes more) the screen will kind of freeze up and not respond to my finger motions about 1/10 or 1/15 times I try. Once or twice it has acted as if there is a ghost [COLOR=#035C9F ! important][FONT=inherit ! important][COLOR=#035C9F ! important][FONT=inherit ! important][/FONT][/FONT][/COLOR][/COLOR]finger and completely goes crazy. I need to sleep the phone [COLOR=#035C9F ! important][FONT=inherit ! important][COLOR=#035C9F ! important][FONT=inherit ! important][/FONT][/FONT][/COLOR][/COLOR]and wake it up for it to start acting normal again.
Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening?
On a separate note, I bought this phone from Radio Shack. Does anyone know the exchange/replacement policy for a product from a different Radio Shack?
