What keyboards have the little insert a letter slider thingy ball

Some of the keyboards I've used lately have this thing that appears when you press between characters. It allows you to place your cursor between characters so you can insert or delete them.
I don't know what it's called but I love that thingy. It's a little ball that has a line up into the text. You can move it around with a touch.
It doesn't seem to be in the stock keyboard. Can it be enabled or turned on? What is it called?
Is it a function of android or the keyboard? If I could find a keyboard that had that and bigger keys, I'd be a happy camper.
I'm hoping one of the many smart people here know what the hey I'm talking about. Thanks in advance!

I have an idea of what your talking about but im not 100% sure of what keyboards offer it. I know for a fact that swype offers a directional pad and some other useful tools when you swype from the swype symbol to the sym key. Theres also an app that offers a virtual trackball check out the link below.
