What Launcher are you using?

Hi Rush,

For me I use Nova Prime basically so I could remove the app icon from the right hand corner of the dock, I have too many other daily go-to apps to put in the dock and needed every bit of space. Plus....Nova is much faster flipping through home pages than TW will ever be. Give it a try...

I have used Nova since the S3 since IMO Wiz was too heavy and had less features. The N4 version does not seem heavy and as fast as Nova. I still miss some things so will see later.

I am keeping TouchWiz this time. Pretty awesome, no single feel to switch over to Nova or Apex for the moment.

Google launcher wise is the one I won't use it, I hate it can't create folder inside apps drawer or sorting, it looks pretty messy to me.

While I love Google, the Google launcher just seems to me too plain, sort of mac like, plus the customization can't be as good as Nova.

As for the question in the OP, i usually use Nova Prime, but so far i haven't put on another launcher on the Note 4. I'm still testing out the features before committing to install Nova and set up my screens like I normally would. But being that one can do folders now in TW, I may try that for the time being.
I also have to say that TW isn't bad on this version. Although I would have like Samsung not to touch the settings area and leave that as pure Android as possible.

I use Apex because I like to have a single image of an art work on the home screens. I have all my icons in folders in three docks. It's what works for your style, and what you are used to. I've been using Apex forever and feel very comfortable with it.
I would be cool to see a screenshot of that. Or at least a link to the post in the Wallpaper/Home screen thread.

TS, one of us has once again been sitting under the back stairs sniffing glue - and I think it's you... :)

What wallpaper/home screen thread are you referring to?

lol Bite me.

If you do a search, there are plenty of wallpaper/home screen threads throughout the forums, although its true there isn't one in the Note 4 forums, but i did say to post it either in this thread or the wallpaper/home screen thread, i just didn't specify which wallpaper thread. :p

I've gone back to the TW launcher for the last few days. I'm trying to get used to all of the S-Pen functionality (the main reason I switched over from the S series) and I'm liking all of the support it gets with TW that Nova Prime doesn't offer.

I'm not noticing any speed difference between them. Samsung has really done a nice job making TW a reasonable platform this time around.

I do wish there was more ability to customize with TW, I really like the layout of Nova Prime and Apex. But functionality wise, I really don't have much to complain about with TW on the Note 4.

So what S-Pen functions do you lose in Nova?

So far, the only one I know for sure is the ability to pin action memos to the Home Screen.

Everything else works just fine.

So now I'm back to being torn between Nova and TW. :D

I'm a sucker for the Lollipop icons. (I'll just show myself out now.)

Quick question.

Using TW, if I were to have only one screen set, would the little scroll indicator still be there? It may seem like a small issue but is a major annoyance for me.

I like that Nova allows me to remove it.

I absolutely love Aviate. I think it's unique and I love the way that it's set up. Just my 2 pennies.

As w/any new phone,I at least give the stock U/I a shot,by the off-chance that they've added features that make the U/I sufficient on its own.

Unsurprisingly, the experience was meh @best,w/virtually no customization whatsoever beyond the bare essentials.

So,I've went back yet again to a tried & true customizable home replacement, HOLO LAUNCHER HD:

Very similar to NOVA & APEX Launchers,& I have the PRO Versions of all three, but,I always find my way back to HOLO,just a personal preference.

The new TouchWiz isn't as bad as the older versions. However, I went back to Nove. Just love the more options for changing the grid, dock, etc.

I'm using Nova. I've been using it since it came out. I tried NEXT but I went back to Nova. I just didn't like NEXT for some reason. I think I preferred a simple launcher like Nova.
