What Live Wallpaper Do You Use ?

i had that one for a while, i like the way if you tilt the phone the bubbles respond.
Has anyone seen the mario lwp that was out a while ago, mario running through a level but not a video as he sometimes dies, sometimes does well, and also screws up, but its different each run through?
My brother had it a while ago but its not on the market any longer.

I used Eastern Glow and Starlight (both by Jason Allen) for a little while - and I tried Celtic Garden and My Beach as well (there was some nasty green color banding in the blue sky with the latter though) - but after switching to GoLauncher (so much better than TouchWiz in several areas) and the stylish Minimalistic Text widget for time, date and battery meter the other day, I've opted for a static wallpaper instead.

im using windy weather, n to be honest, the accuweather.com text doestn really bother me. but im lookin to change now, n looking at some of ur suggestions :) ive covered up all my 7 home screens with stuff, so a simple static wallpaper should be fine too. although i havent really noticed battery drain using live wallpaper

Mario wallpaper is here: [Live Wallpaper] Mario Live Wallpaper 0.94b [Update: appearance settings] - xda-developers

I cannot get it to render the background though for some reason.

I began using the Accuweather beach wallpaper, and especially liked the fact i could walk to the beach and it be exactly as is on screen!! Then i noticed my battery wasn't lasting very long so I stopped using it and have opted for a static picture I found online.

Does anyone esle experience more battery drain when using a live wallpaper? I'm not sure now if it is the live wallpaper or the fact I was using it so much as it was new that the battery wasn't lasting as long as it does now.

I might give them another go, the Mario one in particular interests me very much! Thanks @Larry Sellers. Also the aquariam sounds pretty cool, especially with it being interactive re: feeding!

live wallpaper definitely uses quite a bit more battery than static. dark static wallpaper is the gives the least battery drain.. but my live wallpaper usage (i use windy weather) is always around 3% of my battery usage. not much. but definitely more than static

I found windy weather not very accurate. Said it was raining the other day when it was clear blue skies, depressed me so much i changed.

My Beach Free seems very good for battery performance compared to others and as it's summer it sort of fits the bill (for a few weeks) :-)

LOL! That would be pretty depressing. I can't get over how lifelike the rain is on it though. I was almost willing it to rain just so I could enjoy it!

Presumably these accuweather/some other internet weather live wallpaper use up data of your allowance too...any ideas on how much?

yeah, but if u set it to sync every 30min, its pretty accurate. n yeah, the rain/thunderstorm looks great :D i switched to blue skies for a change, looks pretty good

Not sure how much. Only way of telling is to install 3G watchdog and monitor results. I wouldn't worry if i was you it will only be a short amount

it'll be a very small amount of data. dont worry about it. n if ur wifi is on, it'll use wifi instead of 3G most of the time

just used the Fireflies live wallpaper. it looks really really good! but it runs super slow on my phone, switching homescreens is qute sluggish, not smooth at all. shame, coz its one of the best looking live wallpapers ive seen

btw, the matrix wallpaper is pretty sweet ;)

@miths000, which static wallpaper is that? :)

It's called "Raindrops", downloaded with the Zedge app. I have it set as a fixed wallpaper since that looks good with the flip home screen animation in GoLauncher, but in full size the wallpaper is wide enough to scroll when you move through home screens.

I got the Mario wallpaper last night and it is freakin SWEEEEET! A must have for retro gamers IMO. The only downside is it has a black background, rather than the setting of that particular level. I have e-mailed the developer and he is looking into it.
