...or is "waiting" for?

Perhaps we've busted out our phone to show off the lockscreen ripple one too many times for some. What phone is better to "that guy"? Just wondering.

I don't understand why people "hate" devices or users of said devices.

If they're not for you, don't buy them. I think the people who "hate" devices actually like them, but have reservations about them.

iphone users...somehow they always find something to hate about anything that isnt an iphone.

some iusers are to the grave for apple..but most are sheep...following a trend.

my cousin loves apple products, has owned only iphones since the first one was released. has a mac and an ipad also. i showed him my phone about a week ago and its all he can do to wait till the iphone5 announcement to decide if he wants to get it or a gs3, and he is already heavily leaning to the gs3. people are beginning to realize how stale apple is getting with their products

I disagree. Now, I'm not saying there are no Apple fanboys, but not all Apple users are "sheep". I, for one, have switched from an iPhone to an S3 and I love it. But I also loved my iPhone while I was using it. Both have positives and negatives...

What I don't appreciate is all the iSlamming happening in certain Android forums. From somebody looking in (and from somebody that's just recently switched), it sure does look like there are a lot of Android "sheep" too...

I don't know any GS3 haters. Do they exist? I think the thread title is kind of inflammatory. But having said that...

Yes they obviously own the iPhone 4S or want the iPhone 5. They hate that they can no longer pretend that the iPhone is the best, and that's why they hate the S3 - because they know it is better. They hate because they want one and are jealous but can't have one on principle.

But it's not just the S3. I'm sure they hate the One X also. Android hate.

You gotta feel their pain. Really. It's not their fault. Love them.

There is a lot of 'iSlamming' because of what apple is attempting to do to innovation. They are scared of android and all they can do is constantly sue companies that are outselling them. It's a trash company

I've been following the suing trend and I'm pretty sure it wasn't Apple that started it. Other companies were hoping to make money off of Apple's success and figured that patent infringement lawsuits were the way.

Granted, Apple shouldn't have followed suit, but I don't exactly blame them for trying to protect their intellectual properties.

Anyways, I realize this is not the forum for me to try and bring light to the other side of the argument. I'm sure I'm just going to get flamed, so I'm withdrawing.

Apple did start it back in 2010 against Motorola, but yes this isn't the place for that.

Nah. That article says Motorola's attack wasn't the first

"and are the latest in a flurry of suits involving Apple and mobile phone vendors"

I don't think it's fair to assume that you are going to get flamed for giving a balanced reasonable and respectful argument. And I don't agree that 'this isn't the place for that'.

BUT... I believe you will get hotly picked up on your claim that Apple didn't start the litigation craze, painting them as the victim defending themselves.

I agree that there are people who will become heated in their hatred of Apple (you refer to it as iSlamming), and I think the title of this thread is likely to attract them. I thanked your first post because it presented a more balanced perspective on the issue. There is nothing wrong in 'bringing the light to the other side'.

But I believe it would be better if you remained to back your statement, rather than 'withdrawing', as otherwise it makes you look like you just dropped an incendiary bomb and ran.

I'm not a GS3 hater but I do strongly dislike Samsung phone encasements. Why can't this company get off their multi billion dollar wallets and build phones that aren't inside a flimsy plastic covering? The HTC One series have nice coverings. At the very least, use one of those nicer looking and feeling polymer plastics. Their current stuff is cheap looking and feeling and almost toy-like

I commend you for admitting you were wrong. Most people would just walk away from a thread when they have been proven wrong. This site needs more members like you.
Thank you, and I am ashamed to have let it get to this point. Coming from an iPhone, it irks me to see others generalizing about Apple or Android users. I'm of the mentality that what works for one may not work for another. Tolerance is what's needed in this forum, and I failed to show that in my posts and behaviour.

It's easy to let your emotions get the best of you in a discussion like this, we have all been there ( trust me ). So don't beat yourself up to bad. Glad to have you as a member of this site.

Let me say something real quick.

You folks have been pretty nice/cordial towards each other here (well at least as much as we expect in a thread that is discussing iPhones and GS3s) and we appreciate that very much. However there is always room for differing opinions here. We do not need to shut anyone out because they don't agree. As long as we all keep it nice then all is well. Just remember to cool off a bit if you find yourself getting worked up before posting and everything should be fine.

Thank you and carry on.

I am not a hater but I am on my second s3 now after not giving the first one long enough. Anyway..I am desperately trying to greet away from the iPhone since I am tired if it.

After more than a full day now with this second, I can say the number one thing bugging me is the screen. It is vvery nice but at the time it has this really soft look to it, the whites are not really whites at all and the color is way over the top. Thus forum is conical with the green colors on the s3. Any greens or read are just way to saturated and ruin it.

What about 'droid on 'droid crime? Anyone encounter "Nexus guy", for whom the S3 is not "pure" enough, lol. I think I work with one of those dudes. And my S3 is white?! Oh man, don't even get him started!
