What price did everyone pay for their X?

How are you guys/gals getting "company discounts" on the Droid X purchase? EVERY TIME I asked about it, I get told that the company discount is ONLY good for accessories!

Discounts vary by company/agency and the contract they have with Verizon. Some are much larger than others. I can get 15% through the Coast Guard but my wife gets 22% (plan, features) and 25% (accessories) through the hospital she works for. Obviously we went through her side.

Every company/agency/entity that has a discount has a contact person within the company that can explain to you what you are eligible for. Places like universities often have one rate for students and another for employees or even different types of employees.

Nothing at all. My original droids screen broke (3rd time with a problem), took it to the Verizon store and they didn't have any to replace it so they let me pick between th X or d2. Guess I got lucky

Got mine for free too. As a retention offer. Haven't gotten it yet as it is on back order, but I don't mind waiting for it since I am not paying for it.

This isn't saying everyone can call and say they are canceling and get a free Droid X. I have had a lot of issues with Verizon over the last couple months.

Hi guys,

So with this $50 rebate that comes out on the 26th, hust go in the store and mention it? I have seen the X on Wirefly for $99 but am curious how legit this is...

Like everyone else, just looking for a great deal. Want the Droid for myself and Reality for my wife....

Took the plunge...Bought the Droid X (ordered it online)

$149 ; found $50 coupon aal50..so $199 - $50 = $149

Now it's the waiting game..

Free, I had a Storm2 from Best Buy with Blacktie protection, they stopped carrying the Storm2 and replaced mine with a free DX. That is why I always buy my phones from BB, plus no waiting for the rebates, they take it off in the store.

152 dollars out the door. started at 399. but then the guys at the verison store took off another 100 because i was going to go else where and the 100 rebate. as said before i had to pay taxes on full retail price

Thanks Avalon. What you said sounds logical and probably is correct. However, when I ask about my employee discount, they don't even ask what it is...they just tell me that the employee discount only covers accessories even before I tell them which company I am with or before they even look at my account. I will however, take your advice and contact our employee discount rep from the company and see what they say. It always seems like someone else has a different answer from within Verizon...never seem to get a straight answer but when folks do answer, it comes with the attitude of being gospel.

Thanks for the response.

I found out a few weeks after I got mine from the Verizon store the best deal is at BJ's Wholesale Club. If you get it there at the Verizon desk the offer is $150.. after rebate and new every two discount with a free blue tooth headset and a $50 BJ's gift card.

I got my droid x for free. After a slew of refub droids i was given a dinc. I ended up not like the phone so after a conversation with a local store manager i was offerd the x at no cost.

Beat that fellas haha
