Help What problems affect this phone?

I'm getting this phone (HTC Evo V 4G) soon and I would like to see what problems, past or present, this phone has; problems that occur with many of the phones and not just a few.

Thanks in advance,
PotatoChip

I have a pt cruiser case and it raises the buttons up just enough and it feels fine I can push them even when it's in my coat

How? Replace the back cover?
If it's too high and easy to hit, lightly sand the nub inside the cover. Nail filing emery boards work well for this, but a bit of sandpaper can suffice too. Another option is melt is a little with something hot like a soldering iron, hot butter knife, etc...

If it is too low, add a tiny piece of tape to the button. Add layers to achieve desired height and ease of use.

Actually I think that htc had a lot more to do with it than VMUSA.
Correct.

So that's the only real problem? I read somewhere about SMS not being sent. Has that been fixed?
This is a phone issue not a radio or celluar issue. I called VM about it and they said to do ##532...## etc. something like
*#*#4636#*#* would work for you but the clear one worked for me so try everything out or just call them on another phone like home or borrow a cellphone cause you will have to dial the number on your android.

The only problem I would say is that power button is too low or feels wierd. of course you can take off the back cover and stick a small piece to raise the power button.

Unfortunately this isn't true, it definitely IS a radio issue which is why Virgin started pushing an ota with a different radio to address the issue, the dialer code fixes that you have described are purely temporary.
