Root What stock apps are safe to remove?

I want to know which stock apps you can remove off the phone and what app did you use to remove the apps?

Start by using app quarantine. To freeze apps to check if everything works before removing them.
I'll see about making a list of what I've removed later tonight or tomorrow.

I have rom toolbox pro. I went through freezing whatever I didn't want and later uninstalled everything when I found that everything ran fine.

I removed something that the phone didn't like being removed. I get a gapps crash on reboot, but that's the only time it happens, and everything seems to be running fine otherwise. Does anyone know which app provides the shortcut ring that pops up when you swipe up from the bottom of the screen? I think it may be that trying to load something that I removed that's causing the problem.

Freezing/disabling an app doesn't always guarantee that it can be removed. I've had situations where freezing something was fine, but then removing caused issues. It's a good test, but not necessarily a guarantee.

What are Feather and Polar Bear? The Little Prince?

I assumed that ebay was safe so that's gone.

Does anyone have a list of apps that you found safe to get rid of?

Here are the apps I've disabled.

Stop assuming that people aren't doing their research on Android OS!

It's not so much a matter of research on Android in general but the very specific research ... and testing ... for your exact model and OS version. What might be acceptable to delete on one model from a manufacturer my contain essential system services in a different model. Now, it's normally pretty low risk to freeze the common apps to see if the effect your phone before you actually delete it, but there are exceptions to everything. That is why testing by model and version is so important.

It's also a good idea to keep a nandroid backup of a stable version and a flashable recovery *off* the device, in case you need to restore after something goes seriously wrong. Otherwise you may have to go completely back to stock. I'm not very proficient with LG phones so I'll let those that know more about it (and have experience with it) help you with that.

Bricked and semi-bricked devices can really be a burr under your saddle, but let's remember that we should all be trying to help one another and not let our frustrations ooze out in the form of anger or accusations. If you do, there will be no s'mores at the Kumbaya campfire tonight. :( ... and nobody wants that. ;) :)

I feel like a broken record today, I uninstalled the apps that were completely SAFE to uninstall, non of the apps I uninstalled would cause conflicts of interests with the system and or other apps. I really dislike being treated like I was born yesterday and especially dislike repeating myself over and over. If it was an app that bricked my phone due to uninstalling it...well, I guess there is a lag within the coding of Android OS cause I uninstalled those apps couple days ago and my phone bricked last night in less then 3 minutes of me turning it on. Last I checked, if I were to uninstall a critical app...my phone would've bricked right there.

By the way, I am merely defending myself against a Guide who decided to not be helpful but attack me...if you check back through my posts and threads, you will see it was all fine and dandy till the Guide attacked me...also I wasn't actually upset, merely frustrated like majority of humans would be if there phone bricked.

Also, you can actually see what apps I uninstalled to begin with and you will see that there are absolutely no critical apps that were uninstalled. I went to XDA and read over there and found a list of which apps are completely safe to remove plus the app I downloaded does that for me anyways, it tells me if its safe/critical/system and from there I check out the apks to get a more in-depth view of what exactly the apks function/s are.

My Volt is completely bricked and there are no roms/kernals yet for the Volt so those backups are quite pointless at the moment. I am however quite upset on how a Guide handled themselves and how I am being singled out vs both of us. I wasn't looking for trouble, I am merely giving my side to my story and some want to rewrite my story for me and or accuse me of lying.

Nobody attacked you!! I merely stated that Google Play and Google services didnt brick your phone. And also stated that deleting apps after root is mostly the reason people brick there phones. Been there done that. And the list you looked at for apps that are safe to remove is for the LG G2 NOT the Volt. Are some apps on that list safe to remove? I dont doubt it. Obviously something went wrong whether it being something you yourself did or something entirely different, who knows at this point. Again I never attacked you, merely stated facts that way other people dont freak out. We all make mistakes and its extremely possible you made one that caused the phone to brick. Then again maybe not, again know one knows!!

I've been rooted for weeks and from day one decided in not deleting any apps until we have a custom recovery method. Imo It's just not a good idea to delete anything you can't restore but at the same time bricking days after removing apps is foreign to me. The worse kind of mistake is one you don't learn from.
