Root what the heck

You might also try running a blurless ROM like fission or Rubix focused. I have noticed a TREMENDOUS increase in my battery life after running Fission under volted at stock clock speeds. Prior to fission I could last until 5 pm now I can go till 2-3 am or noon the next day depending on my usage.

When my phone just sits with the screen off and nothing really running it uses id say 10% of life every hour or so. The constant GPS connecting and things like that drain it.

wtf?! if your display is turned off and the battery is being reduced every 10% / hour, thats a lot of drainage.

i will be at work from 9 - 5, and my battery life would drop only 10% that entire time (if barely used, if at all).

most of the time, battery life isn't dependent on device, but USER ERROR. Remove 3rd party apps, remove all battery-conserving applications (most don't work to your benefit), and do a control test of your battery life.

I assure you that 3rd party apps are the main culprit using up your 3G data.

Your phone is working, sometimes, when the screen is off.

Does anyone have any idea what the UID1001 sensor is for? In Spare Parts under Battery History and Sensor Usage UID1001 is on nonstop, in fact the bar is longer than the android system itself.

Did you ever figure this out? I've been getting near 100% sensor usage from UID 1001 as well lately.

What about under data manager, is background data enabled?

Also what battery mode is your phone on, I would try battery saver and see if it will work for you.

I like to have gmail pushed and several apps update in the bacground. This didn't use to be a problem, just something that sprang up in the last week.
